St Helena Conclave 378 KHS Ceremony
 
On Friday evening the 12th September the Intendant General, R.Ill. Kt. Graham Edwin Williams, took the Divisional KHS team to St Helena Conclave meeting at St Helens Masonic Hall.

The meeting for St Helena would normally have been the Enthronement Meeting. With the Puissant Sovereign,  Tony Prior staying in post to serve another year along with Stephen Gregory staying as Viceroy it didn’t take long to do the proclamation, or to invest the officers of the year.
 
Tony was closing the Conclave in no time what so ever and the assembled Knights climbed the stairs to the Temple on the top floor with its magnificent golden dome ceiling.

Frank with the First Team
The last-minute substitutes were approached and appointed by the Marshal Ray Pye, and we were ready to go.
 
The KHS team is made up from knights of each of the Conclave in the Division all of whom are volunteers and each specialise in a different part of the ritual and come together with the intention of making the evening special for the candidate who could be from any conclave within the Division.
 
Tonight Kt Francis (Frank) Lees, hails from Prescot Conclave 291, not very far away from St Helens for Frank then!

The Ceremony was conducted in exemplary fashion by Ill. Kts. Ray Pye, Alex Prescott, Mike Greenhalgh, Neil Cooper, Alan Hodgson, David Hickman and R. Ill. Kt. Graham finished it off in fine style. They even let me take part as Harbinger and Ian Clark as Warder, magnificent Knocks Ian! Please forgive me if I’ve missed you out. Frank cannot fail to have been impressed by the time spent on making his night special.
The Prescot Supporters Club
The KHS ceremony was further enhanced by the presence of the Sepulchre Guard under the command of Ill. Kt. Jason Nash the Grand Standard Bearer Constantine, who carried out their duties faultlessly.
 
Following the ceremonial, we retired to the dining room where we were served a pleasant three course meal by the friendly catering staff ensuring that the night was rounded off to complete satisfaction.
